I prayed with hope and faith our financial situation would improve, a real estate deal would happen in a timely manner, and a roster of sick people would have their health issues resolved.
I have other issues for which I pray, but these are the ones for which I make notice and express grateful appreciation ... and I make separate Novenas for each issue.
... In the worst week of the Wall Street financial crisis, a family member accepted an excellent offer from qualified buyers, to purchase their NYC Co-Op.
... the following week, WE received a check, due us, but not expected for several months due to the shenanigans of family mischief makers. So, it wasn't the mega million lottery, for which I was hoping ..., and promising to save everyone in my universe if I won it ... but it was more than enough to relieve the growing stress of unexpected financial burden.
... the health issues are mixed. A really sweet elderly, lady went home to God ...in the end, a blessing, though difficult for her family. And an uncle, virtualyl with no vision left in July, had a surgical procedure that restored enough sight for him to believe he has experienced a miracle. His field of vision is very small, but what he can see ... his distance is 20/40 and his close up is 20/20. How can we not be grateful?
For me, he most significant part of this Novena is the line that asks the Holy Spirit to light all roads so I can achieve my goals. I don't see this line in other Novenas and not in other versions of this Novena to Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel.... but it is in knowing what it is for which I'm praying, and the chance to see my way clear to achieve that goal, that gives me encouragement to go forward with faith and hope.
Someone asked me if this Novena is more effective if it's prayed aloud. that's an interesting question, but one for which I do not have an answer.
The other day I met a woman in the Post office who was dealing with a difficult family situation. I took her email address and sent her the novena. Her response was so beautiful ... she said she would pray this novena with all her heart. With all our hearts ... is probably the way to pray this novena to be most effective ... so that could mean quietly ... or shouted from the rooftops, don't you think?

This is a novena for employment. I said this novena to help my husband find a job after he lost his unexpectedly. He called me as I was driving our daughter to her first communion rehearsal to tell me the bad news. He has been looking for a new job for several months - sending out many resumes and never hearing anything back. On the thirteenth day of this novena, he received an offer for a job that is better than anything I could've hoped for. Thank you, Dear Lord, for this blessing.

Holy Spirit You who make me see everything and showed me the way to reach my ideals, You who gave me the Divine gift to forgive all the wrong that was done to me, and You who are in all instances in my my life.
